Helping practitioners design an assessment tool that works
This workshop will provide an overview of program evaluation strategies and outline practical approaches and top tips for designing assessment tools that work in real-world settings. It is suited for conference participants with beginner level evaluation skills. Particular emphasis will be placed on the early steps of evaluative thinking and key considerations for successful evaluation planning. The workshop aims to answer your evaluation planning questions including Why should I conduct an evaluation? How do I get started? What do I need to consider before getting started? and How to go about finding or creating an assessment tool? Participants are encouraged to bring their own evaluation interests, ideas and projects for discussion. References to a broad range of evaluation planning resources including templates, tool kits, books, articles, and websites will also be provided.
